Toledo Public Schools is in the final stages of a complete and thorough update of the Board’s Policy Manual. This review has involved the support of each member of the Board of Education and numerous district staff. Many hours have gone into updating the policies to reflect the current operations of the district, along with the needs of our students and the community. A representative from the Ohio School Board Association is also reviewing each section of the Manual. Now, TPS would like to hear from the community regarding the policy updates.
Students who graduate from Toledo Public Schools are fulfilling their dream of going to college thanks to the efforts of Owens Community College and the University of Toledo. Beginning with the 2009 TPS graduates, students who show financial need are being given the chance to attend college for free at either Owens or UT.
