Toledo Public Schools high school students can compete in a full complement of sports: cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, hockey, wrestling, track, softball, and baseball.
Junior high students compete in cross country, track, volleyball, wrestling, and basketball.
Elementary students in various schools have the opportunity to participate in intramurals in such sports as basketball, volleyball, and cross country.
Over the past five years, TPS has gradually raised the grade point average required of students to be on high school teams.
The district is part of the Toledo City Athletic League, comprised of 14 schools from the Toledo metropolitan area including 5 parochial high schools, and also is a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
