Career Technology - Chart Your Course To A Great Future

TPS has a variety of career technology offerings taught in the high school skill centers. Students can select training in one of five career technology pathways: natural science, industrial, family and consumer science, business, and marketing.  If the particular area is not offered in their home school, students spend part of their day in their home schools and the other part at the skill center offering the career technology pathway they want to pursue.  The Career Technology Pathway chart below details which courses are offered at each high school.

These areas of training can lead to employment in the senior year through co-op agreements with local businesses, early placement training with an employer in the last semester of the senior year or internships with an area professional.

Several skill centers have TECH PREP programs, which offer rigorous programs that prepare students for a two-year associate program or a four-year baccalaureate degree.
