All students, GradesK-5, who have returned their signed permission slip will go home for lunch on Friday, October 31 at 11:30 a.m. so they may dress in in their costume.  Students do NOT have to wear their uniform on this day.  There is no bus service.  Transportation will have to be provided by the parents.  The cafeteria will hold business as usual for those students unable to go home during their lunchtime.

Dismissal Time ~ 11:30 a.m.
Return To School ~ 12:45 p.m.
School Resumes ~ 1:00 p.m.
Parade Time ~ Approximately 1:15 p.m.

Early Release Day For Stewart Academy For Girls

Stewart Academy has been approved by the Toledo Public Schools' School Improvement Committee tohave early release from school on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 12:00 Noon.  This means that your daughter will be dismissed from school at 12:30 p.m.  Buses will be here to transport your daughter home, if she normally takes the bus home.  Parents will need to make arrangements with Day Car Centers to have your daughters picked up at 12:30.  This includes:  Catholic Club, YMCA, Frederick Douglas Center and any other daycares that transport to and from Stewart Academy.  If you normally transport your own daughter, please make arrangements to pick her up at 12:30 on Monday,
December 8, 2008.  Teachers will be involved with professional development in the area of assessment for the entire afternoon.

 




Early Release Day - Ella P. Steward Academy For Girls

Students will be released from school at 12:30 p.m.  Girls who normally ride the yellow bus home will be transported home by yellow bus starting at 12:30 p.m.  School will resume normal hours on Tuesday, Decmber 9, 2008

Elmhurst students will be able to do their own Christmas shopping once again.  It is a one-day sale on Friday, December 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  All items are priced at $2.00.  A money envelope and gift labels will be sent with your child.  Please help your child fill out these labels.  It is very important that this is done at home.  Send the money envelope and labels back to school on Friday, December 12.  There is no sales tax on these items and checks should be made payble to Elmhurst PTA.  If you have any questions, please contact Dena Twietmeyer at 419-475-1152.

" Make It And Take It" - Libbey High School (10:00AM)

Libbey Humanities will hold their 2nd annual "Make It and Take It" event on Saturday,
December 13, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Libbey High School cafeteria.
There will be arts and crafts, dancing, music, cookie decorating, homemade popcorn balls,
movie ticket raffle, science experiments and much more!  Santa Claus is coming too! 
Free admission.
