- A groundbreaking ceremony was held at 1p.m. on October 28, 2004 and a dedication ceremony was held at 2 p.m. on January 18, 2006, the first day for students in the new building.
- The new Oakdale elementary school is a K-5 building that replaces the original K-6 building on the same site at 1620 East Broadway.
- This new school can serve up to 472 students in grades K-5.
- Square footage is 56,970.
- Approximate cost for this new construction was $9.9 Million.
This school is part of Segment One of the Building For Success program to rebuild or renovate schools throughout the district.
