TPS REOPENS NEW SCHOOL UNIFORM OFFICE

Toledo Public Schools has reopened the district uniform office in an effort to help families who are seeking financial assistance in obtaining school uniforms. Parents/guardians of registered Toledo Public School students in grades K-8 can apply for free school uniforms at the former Leverette Junior High School, located at 1111 E. Manhattan. The office is housed in portable unit number one, located in the back parking lot of the building. Families may apply for uniform vouchers Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. This office will remain open until the end of October; after that time uniform applications will be accepted at the Board of Education.

Parents/guardians must present the following items in order to meet the eligibility requirements established to receive free school uniforms:

Applicants must show a photo identification
Proof of household income for the last 30 days
Custody papers
PRC applicants must provide printout indicating current date of approval
SSA/SSI applicants must present child support printout
Applicants who are employed or who are receiving unemployment benefits must provide check stubs (most recent 2 consecutive stubs if paid bi-weekly or most recent 4 consecutive stubs if paid weekly).

Individuals who have already applied for uniform assistance need not re-apply. Parents/guardians can call 419-729-8801 with any questions.
