 PICKETT ELEMENTARY HOSTS FIRST PARENT SUMMIT

Pickett Elementary School is hosting its first-ever Parent Summit. The goal of the Parent Summit is to provide solutions to the problems, and answers to the questions that challenge families on a daily basis. More than 55 local organizations are scheduled to participate in the Parent Summit, including the Boys & Girls Clubs, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Special Olympics, Parents Helping Parents, the Toledo Museum of Art, the Toledo Zoo, the YWCA, along with local hospitals, banks, churches and universities.

Parents and their children will also enjoy entertainment, refreshments and other activities. The school’s PTO and Parent Community Partners are sponsoring the Summit; both groups are determined to bridge the information gap between families and community organizations.

WHEN:    Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 6 – 8 p.m.
