MATH NIGHT AT CHASE ELEMENTARY Chase Elementary is hosting a Math Night for parents and students. This special mathematical event is intended to provide parents with math-related games they can play at home with their children as a way to begin preparing for the upcoming Ohio Achievement Tests. |

TOOTHPICK BRIDGE COMPETITION The Toledo Public Schools/ACE Mentoring Program is holding its second annual Toothpick Bridge Competition. Student “bridge builders” will have their projects recorded, photographed, weighed and tested for structural capacity. Each bridge is constructed of toothpicks and held together with white glue; the bridge must span a minimum of 10 inches and have a mass of 40 grams.

STUDENT AWARD HIGHLIGHTS SAFETY Ella P. Stewart Academy for Girls is proud to announce a new initiative that will highlight the exemplary behavior of students who ride TPS yellow buses. Each month, the bus drivers on the Stewart Academy route will nominate two students who exhibit proper behavior when riding the bus to and from school. The first two students to be recognized for their bus-riding etiquette will be honored on Friday during a school assembly.

MAKE IT & TAKE IT DAY AT LIBBEY HIGH SCHOOL Libbey High School Humanities Department is hosting a holiday “Make It & Take It” event. Attendees will enjoy a variety of arts and crafts, dancing the Salsa, cookie decorating, science experiments and visits with Santa. The admission is free. The event is being held to encourage incoming students to learn more about the offerings at Libbey High School.

BOYD’S RETRO CANDY STORE SUPPORTS ARLINGTON ELEMENTARY Boyd’s Retro Candy Store is holding a fundraising event to support Arlington Elementary. This Saturday, Boyd’s will donate five percent of their sales to the school’s sixth grade camp fund. Boyd’s Retro Candy Store is unique candy haven where people with a sweet tooth will find all the sweet treats they enjoyed as a child.
