SOUTH TOLEDO TPS SCHOOLS TO HOST EDU-RAMA

Bowsher High School is the place to be when they host EDU-RAMA, an event encouraging area residents to learn more about the great things happening in south Toledo. Along with informational booths highlighting the south-end TPS schools, residents will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from community organizations that serve the south-end.

Several student groups will show-off their musical talents in the Bowsher Auditorium. Performances are scheduled every half-hour beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Byrnedale Middle School Choir and Band, the Bowsher High School Rebelaires and Dance Team are just a few of the groups planning to perform. TPS informational booths include the Parent Congress, updates to the districts’ uniform policy and the Building for Success program.

Community agencies participating in the first ever EDU-RAMA include Ident-A-Kid, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Toledo Zoo, the Toledo Humane Society, the Red Cross, the Lucas County Public Library and numerous other local organizations. Children’s activities include face painting, visits with school mascots, art demonstrations and inflatables. For students who are interested in learning to play chess, a tournament will be held in the library.

The South Toledo EDU-RAMA is sponsored by the Toledo Public Schools Parent Congress.
