The Ohio Achievement Tests Are Coming PDF Print E-mail

The Ohio Achievement Tests, or OAT, are given to students in grades 3 through 8 to measure their knowledge of various subjects. This year, the tests will be administered from April 21 through April 30.

The test results are a reflection of, not only your student’s knowledge and performance, but that of all 3rd through 8th graders in the district. So, naturally, we want every student to perform at his or her highest level.

Parents, you can help your student by doing the following:
  1. Encourage him/her to take advantage of the tutoring sessions.
  2. Help him/her access the OAT practice websites.
  3. Remind him/her to review the tests before taking them.
  4. Make sure he/she gets plenty of sleep before and during the testing period.
  5. Be certain he/she eats a healthy, well-balanced breakfast on test days.
  6. Send him/her off to school on time.
  7. If you’d like more details, please contact your child’s school. Click here for each school's contact information.
