Participants are being sought for the latest cohort of the Urban Leadership Development Program, a partnership between Toledo Public Schools, Bowling Green State University and The Toledo Association of Administrative Personnel to train current teachers to become building administrators and supervisors.

Instruction is largely provided by professors of the Educational Leadership Department of BGSU and is, for the most part, delivered off campus in TPS facilities. Students can earn either a master's degree or a specialist degree. Tuition, with the exception of two summer courses, is provided by TPS. Students are responsible for all fees and books.

After completion of the program, which takes about two years, participants have a five-year commitment to TPS.

 While in ULDP, degree candidates may have an opportunity to act in various administrative roles and to apply for positions below the rank of principal.

Interested candidates must have five years teaching experience or have completed the Resident Educator Program and participate in screening activities.
