The Ohio Department of Education released its report cards for public schools on Thursday, September 13. While Toledo Public Schools administrators and the Board of Education welcome transparency about the district's performance, they believe the State Report Card once again gives a woefully incomplete picture of public education in this and other urban districts across the state.
For example, the graduation rate for TPS graduates has climbed from 63.1 percent in 2010 to a projected 79.17 percent for 2018. (That figured will be confirmed this December). For more of the true story about how TPS is doing, please click on this link: Fall 2018 Report Card
Also, please refer to the Data Dashboard (found in the middle of the page at www.tps.org) which is continually updated with the district’s latest performance indices.
