What’s For Lunch?
Now students and parents can view the district’s monthly menus in one of two ways. Parents can log on to www.schoolmenu.com. Once you log on to the site:
- Select Ohio under the state field.
- Select Toledo City Schools for the school district option.
- From there, you can then click on a particular school to find the menu options for both breakfast and lunch.
This site not only highlights the daily menu options at your student’s school, it also provides important nutritional and fitness information.

Along with the daily special, students have the option to purchase an array of Ala Carte items. The daily specials are highlighted on the monthly student menu.

Elementary Breakfast - $.75 Reduced - $.30 Lunch - $1.50 Reduced - $.40
Middle School & High School__ Breakfast - $1.00 Reduced - $.30 Lunch - $1.75 Reduced - $.40
Special Note: Several years ago, TPS stopped using peanut products to prepare student meals, which included the discontinuation of using peanut oil to cook certain foods. This action was taken to reduce the possibility of a student with peanut allergies having an adverse reaction. All foods served to students contain no trans-fats.

New Menu Items Recently, a group of parents and TPS staff members worked together to review and update the operations of the Food Service Program. As part of this group’s research and recommendations, several new items have been incorporated into the 2009-2010 student menus, including:
Elementary Schools: fresh fruit including grapes, sliced oranges and apples, vegetable sticks served with dressing, macaroni and cheese, tacos, tossed salads and a variety of healthy snacks.
Middle School and High Schools: walking tacos, pizza, sandwich wraps, salad bar, a baked potato bar and a variety of healthy snacks.
