As part of Black History Month activities, Ella P. Stewart Academy for Girls will hosted its annual Wax Museum event. It highlights women who have made a significant contribution in black history.
Third grade students researched a woman and create a “living wax figure”, dressing up like that person and giving a presentation about that person’s achievements.
The event is an annual tradition at Stewart Academy for students to draw inspiration from women who have made their mark in history.
