The TPS Local History Lecture Series continues at Waite High School at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 9 featuring local historian Frank Butwin who will be presenting “William Henry Harrison – His Life and Times” in first person.
Frank will talk about the life of William Henry Harrison, including his ancestry, aristocratic up-bringing, education, military service with General Anthony Wayne, representative of the Northwest Territory, service as Governor of Indiana Territory, Battle of Tippecanoe, General at Fort Meigs, political service in Ohio and in Congress, Ohio becoming the “Buckeye State”, US Presidential campaigning, and his untimely death at the 9th US President.
The event is free and open to the public. Park in the visitor parking lot off East Broadway and
enter the main door. The auditorium is on the second floor and is accessible by elevator or
stairs.
