Toledo Public Schools employs approximately 4,800 people in its administrative, teaching and support staff ranks in order to provide the best possible educational opportunities to the 30,000 students it serves. It offers challenging and rewarding careers, excellent benefits, and a positive work environment.
During the school year, employment postings can be found on bulletin boards in every school, in the administration building, and in the employee newsletter. Occasionally, some positions are advertised in local, regional or national publications. Persons interested in positions in administrative, teaching or non-teaching areas can contact the offices of Human Resources, Teaching or Non-Teaching Personnel for copies of job descriptions for available positions. All of these offices are located in the Thurgood Marshall Building, 420 E. Manhattan Blvd., Toledo, OH 43608. Applications can be picked up between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

In January, 2014, Toledo Public Schools and Partners In Education (PIE) launched an initiative called Partners with Purpose that supports agencies interested in partnering with TPS schools. As part of this collaborative effort, all TPS partners are required to participate in the Partners with Purpose initiative and to follow a 5-step process that ensures TPS students are receiving the highest quality support for their academic, social, physical, emotional and behavioral development.

TPS offers a wide variety of educational programs. Each provides excellent learning opportunities by serving the needs, interests and abilities of students and families.
The Educare program strives to enhance the lives of children with disabilities through excellence in education and healthcare. The Multi-Disability/Medically Fragile program will be located at Reynolds Elementary, 5000 Norwich Rd., starting with the 2014-2015 school year.
