Registration for the Toledo Public Schools Virtual Academy for the 2020-2021 school year is closed at this time.
If families wish to have their students placed on a waiting list for the academy - which will offer a virtual learning option this fall for students in grades K-12 - they should fill out this form:
TPS Virtual Academy Waiting List - CLOSED
TPS Virtual Academy Waiting List (Spanish) - CLOSED
Please note: The TPS Virtual Academy is for families who wish to have their students learn exclusively online for either the first semester or the entire 2020-2021 school year. Enrollment in the TPS Virtual Academy is different from students who are attending classes online because the district is in a Red Light status (no students in classrooms) or are attending their home school on the A/B schedule because TPS is in a Yellow Light status (a hybrid of in-person and virtual learning).
When a spot becomes available in the TPS Virtual Academy, families will be contacted by a district representative to complete the enrollment process. The intention is to accommodate all interested families, but the enrollment closing is necessary in order to schedule resources and staff members across 53 buildings.
Read about this unique learning opportunity here: TPS Virtual Academy Students in the program will receive an electronic device so they can access daily instruction from state-licensed and credentialed teachers and be monitored for attendance. Daily virtual attendance is required. The district will ensure that students participating in the Virtual School will have access to WiFi.
