Nearly rtwo dozen seventh and eighth grade students from Harvard Elementary are currently participating in a six-week enrichment program at the Toledo Museum of Ar
From dismissal until 4:15 p.m., these students work on homework or have a pre-lesson to activate prior knowledge about the project they'll complete at the museum.
Teacher Jeniene Hall says: "We board the bus and arrive at the museum by 4:30 p.m., where we go to a studio classroom for a briefing. We may go up into the galleries and do an activity or look at a particular work on which we will base our project. Then, once back into the studio, students get directions and are allowed to create!"
The best part is that, after winter break, there will be we another six-week session, this time for Harvard students in grades five and six.
