Anyone wishing to anonymously report threats to student safety to both Toledo Public Schools and local law enforcement can now do so through the Safer Ohio School Tip Line operated by the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The number is 844-723-3764.
The tip line accepts both calls and texts 24 hours a day and is designed for students and adults to anonymously share information, whether it’s about a threatened mass incident or possible harm to one student. The report will be forwarded to the appropriate school teams and/or law
enforcement agencies for a thorough investigation of the threat.
The Safer Ohio School Tip Line is a free safety resource available to all Ohio schools and is provided by the Ohio School Safety Center in partnership with the Ohio Department of Education. To learn more, check out the Ohio School Safety Center website.
Toledo Public Schools will submit yearly reports to the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Public Safety on the number of tips received and how they were handled, including disciplinary actions taken and mental wellness referrals.
Note: Any information collected through the anonymous tip line is not subject to public records laws.
