Birckhead (originally spelled Birkhead and later changed to its current spelling) is a planned unit development originally designed and platted in 1906. The land was once the farm and orchard grounds owned by the Curtis family. The only entrance to this privately-owned neighborhood is located on Cherry Street, while the rest of the
neighborhood is surrounded by a wrought-iron fence. Mr. Hill is a resident of Birckhead
Place and works to preserve this historic neighborhood.
This event is free and open to the public. Parking at Scott High School is located behind the
building. Enter through door #1 and proceed to the auditorium upstairs.
