Ingenuity and creativity came alive at Grove Patterson Acadmey as more than 70 students in grades K-6 took part in a week-long “Camp Invention” program at the week of June 9-13.
Grove Patterson Academy teamed up with the National Inventors Hall of Fame to offer an inspiring summer experience to engage in open-ended, hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and more.
Students collaborated with other students, thinking creatively and inventing their own solutions to real-world challenges. Activities will included:
- Create a personalized claw machine with one-of-a-kind prizes
- Uncover the science behind optical illusions in art, movies, theater and animation
- Rev up for a road trip with a transmitter and receiver with a custom dashboard and travel map
- Embark on an eco-expedition to study penguins and the ice and snow of Antarctica
