TPS CEO/Superintendent Dr. Romules Durant was joined by Dr. Tom and Betsy Brady to announce TPS is receiving a $1 million gift from the Brady family, earmarked for the Brady Educator and Social Services Academy, which will open for classes on the Scott Park campus at the beginning of the 2026-27 academic year.
The gift will be accepted through the TPS Foundation, and will be used to support facilities, curriculum and scholarships at the academy.
The announcement was made during the Aspiring Young Educators conference at the UT Student Union Auditorium, with an estimated 100 TPS student in grades 6-8 who share an interest in becoming a teacher in the future.
