
A Fall Festival event was hosted by the Natural Science Technology Center and Hawkins STEAM Academy on Saturday, October 25 from 2:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
At the festival, students of all ages and their families are were invited to explore both school
campuses and see the exciting educational opportunities available. From animal science to
urban agriculture, landscape and wildlife sustainability, this partnership showcases the very
best of two innovative schools.
Festival activities included hayrides, a haunted prairie, pumpkin carvings, student
demonstrations, animal interactions, caramel apples and cider as well as Halloween candy.
The Natural Science Technology Center was open for guided tours, featuring hands-on
learning space and new exhibits including a dwarf caiman habitat, a rainforest walkway, a
saltwater touch tank with exciting new animals added to their collection.
