Dr. Durant joined Oakdale Elementary Principal Bob Yenrick, staff, students, and members of the Oakdale PTO, to recognize several donors for a variety of school activities and projects:
Donations are earmarked for sending 6th and 7th grade students from Oakdale and other elementary schools in East Toledo to a week-long camp which takes place during the school year.
An additional donation from Toledo Refining Company and other money from the John Eldred Jr. Foundation will also be used for building school PTOs on the East Side, along with other school initiatives.
