Graduation is a significant milestone. Our goal is for all seniors in good standing to participate in their school's ceremony. Please note that participation is a privilege, not a right. All graduation requirements must be met.
Graduation Participation Requirements: All potential graduates must meet the following requirements to be eligible to participate:
- Good Standing:
- Seniors must be in good standing academically and behaviorally.
- Required Attire:
- All graduates must wear the official Toledo Public Schools regalia (cap, gown, and tassel) during graduation. Regalia must be ordered through Jostens. Please contact your school principal for assistance in ordering necessary items.
- Only school-issued/approved medals, cords, and stoles may be worn during graduation.
- Students are expected to be dressed appropriately underneath their gowns, as graduation is a formal event.
- Caps are not to be decorated or altered.
- Fees and Fines:
- All outstanding school fees and fines must be paid in full before graduation.
- Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal:
- Seniors must attend the scheduled graduation rehearsal.
- Those not attending rehearsal will not be permitted to participate in the formal ceremony.
- Behavior Expectations:
- Seniors involved in senior pranks that result in disciplinary consequences forfeit their rights to participate in graduation.
- Any senior suspended for other behavioral incidents during the final days of the school year will not be eligible to participate in graduation.
Additional Graduation Information Representatives from each high school will meet with their graduating seniors to discuss more specific details and expectations, including the time and location of the graduation rehearsal and ceremony, ticket information, and the submission of scholarships received.
We appreciate your support in making this a memorable and successful occasion for our graduating seniors. If you have any questions, please contact your high school administration directly. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2025 together!
