As part of a mentorship initiative, Ella P. Stewart Academy for Girls hosted a Pinning Ceremony. The event links a sixth-grade student “Big” with a kindergarten student “Little”.
Each kindergarten student has the opportunity to receive a sixth-grade mentor to connect with and interact with throughout various academic and social opportunities during the school year.
The ceremony included a formal introduction of each “Little” to her “Big”, along with a reading of a promise to the new students to officially make them part of the Stewart family.
Each kindergarten student will received a shining star pin during the ceremony.
