Woodward High School Has a New Football Coach

“I’m very humbled, honored and excited,” says McNeil. “There’s a special group of students athletes at Woodward and I can’t wait to not only coach them but also help them develop as young men. It’s a great day to be a Polar Bear.”

A 2015 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School and a 2018 graduate of Owens Community College, McNeil has several years of coaching experience at the high school level.

  • 2024: Springfield High School Defensive Coordinator
  • 2022-23: Rogers High School Associate Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator
  • 2021: Scott High School Defensive Coordinator
  • 2019-20: Start High School Defensive Backs Coach
  • 2017-18: St. Francis de Sales High School Cornerbacks Coach

“His excitement and energy provide the jolt we need to compete on and off the field, and to try to bring a city championship back to Woodward High School,” says Principal Jack Renz.

“The athletic department at Woodward welcomes Coach McNeil to our staff,” says Woodward Athletic Director Ann Kock-West. “We’re excited to watch his leadership and energy guide our young gentlemen.”

McNeil is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in special education from Grand Canyon University.
