Throughout the nation, there is a pressing shortage of teachers, a challenge that has persisted for decades within the education system. Attracting a diverse array of educators has been particularly challenging. However, it is crucial to ensure that students from all backgrounds feel a sense of belonging in school.
Aspiring Young Educators (AYE) is an extracurricular club designed for students in grades 5-8, aimed at introducing them to various careers in the field of education. By cultivating interest in educational professions among young learners, this club holds the potential to contribute to the long-term goal of diversifying the teaching profession. Also, AYE scholars can serve as leaders within their school communities, providing valuable assistance in educational capacities.
