Toledo Public Schools maintains a strict dress code for all students. Students are expected to be dress-code compliant on the first day of school and throughout the school year. The District no longer provides financial assistance to families for the purchase of clothing items that fit within the dress code. Any questions regarding the dress code can be directed to the school principal.

In the 2016-2017 school year, Toledo Public Schools adopted a new high school dress code for students who attend one of our comprehensive, traditional high schools: Bowsher, Rogers, Scott, Start, Waite and Woodward. The revisions to the dress code were made after receiving feedback from teachers, administrators, students and parents. The changes were meant to still give students some flexibility with their attire while maintaining a safe and productive learning environment within our schools.
Parents, we look to you to ensure your children are dress-code compliant each day when they leave the house for school. If there are any questions about the new dress code, please contact the principal at your school.
The following schools are exempt from this dress code as they each follow dress codes that were established specifically for their school - Aerospace & Natural Science Academy of Toledo; Jones Leadership Academy of Business; Toledo Early College and Toledo Technology Academy.
