TPS CEO/Superintendent Dr. Romules Durant joined by members of Toledo Sister Cities and Toledo Rotary Foundation, highlight a student exchange program between Toledo Technology Academy of Engineering and State Vocational College-Coburg Technical College for
Mechanical Engineering located in Coburg, Germany.
Two students and a teacher from the Coburg Vocational College are in Toledo, having arrived on April 22 and departing on May 10. They’re not only spending time at TTA, but visiting TTA business partners in engineering and manufacturing, visiting historical/tourist spots in the
area and experiencing American culture and food.
Two students and a teacher from TTA will visit Coburg between May 10 and May 31. They will spend time at the Coburg Vocational College and the school’s business partners. They’ll also visit historical sites and experience Bavarian culture.
Toledo Sister Cities, the Toledo Rotary Foundation and the German American Partnership Program have donated funds to cover the cost of the TTA visit to Coburg.
This partnership was initiated by the Toledo-German Sister City Committee after Toledo and Coburg became sister cities in 2019. The focus for the Toledo-Coburg relationship is to foster a cultural and educational exchange between the cities and educational institutions.
